Late at night, in the factory, engineer Alexander Hayes frowned as he stared at the 37th faulty circuit board on the production line. This idea ignited the entrepreneurial spark between Alexander Hayes and two alumni of Harbin Institute of Technology – algorithm expert Zhang Wei and optical engineer Chen Li. In the spring of 2013, three people mortgaged their property and hung a bronze plaque inscribed with “MindVision” in a 30-square-meter shared office in Nanshan District, Shenzhen.
